How would you do it?
I'm spending this morning, working from home and deciding to open a retirement account.
Got me thinking about the years "wasted" learning pick up in night clubs. (It actually made me money via people and leadership skills.)
That said, even without the plague keeping people cooped up, I would have a hard time going out 4-6 nights a week for 7 years straight. (the first 3 months was the learning part, the rest of it was enjoying and refining).
I think if were to do it today.
Cash and Time - I'd need an online source of income. Not Lamborghini money, but gross 5-6K, net 3K to 3500. Enough for an efficiency/single bed room NEAR the party district. The online aspect is to free up time. It's way easier to slay chicks when you have infinite time.
Fitness - I'd have to take working out seriously. Not being the proper BMI makes a guy uncompetitive. But having a 6 pack doesn't make girls swoon.
Face to Face Girl/Social Situations -
The thing that makes guys good at this is talking to girls, face to face. There is no substitute, there are no hacks around it. You talk, you talk some more, you stop being bad, you start getting good, and then it becomes a part of you.
How though?
I'd need an offline job that puts me in front of people, but not necessarily in a position of weakness.
Back in the day the best jobs for a player, specifically cold approach night game, have been working in the hospitality industry - bartender, promoter, and to lesser extents bouncer, dj, waiter. Not only are you dealing with the general female public, and they're trying to gain your favor, you also deal with hotter than average female co-workers. (assuming you're in a tier 1 city).
Plenty of jobs put guys in touch with females, (uber and most gig jobs), but most of the time the social dynamics are she is the customer and you're her employee. So for her to see you as someone capable of fucking the shit out of her, the roles need to reverse.
These days, one of the easiest ways to fuck chicks is to be a personal trainer - but what fit guy is really trying to fuck fatties?
I really do feel for young guys trying to learn how to deal with chicks by learning day game. I'd shoot myself if I had to run after tourists and recent immigrants, and shoot my shot as they wonder why I'm talking to them. Day Game should be by and by, not a hunting expedition, in my opinion
So that really leaves the online aspects of the game that weren't big deals coming up.
Social Media and Dating Apps - In my view, a guy really has to live an "awesome" life in order to truly capitalize on the new normal.
But most awesome lives in Insta, Youtube, SC are not candid pics to a guy living an awesome life, but a curated experience that only shows the best parts. And the fact that everyone is essentially lying about their awesome lives doesn't mean that there's any currency to be gained by being "truthful". There are plenty of dorks on social media showing you who they really are.
So on day to day basis, I'd really have to be intentional.
If you work a desk job like myself, there's not really much opportunity to take cool pics, because your life isn't that cool.
>Lemme take a screenshot of this excel spreadsheet of customers and client's I'm analyzing.
Do I want to be a jet setting photographer? Musician on stage? Park Ranger showing all of Nature's beauty? Fashion Model?
No, No, No, and No.
But headed back to college, would it be possible to craft a career that would be photogenic?
In conclusion
I was lucky to learn game when I learned it. I'm not sure how guys would approach it today because those same conditions don't really exist today.
What would you guys do?
