I am focussing on improving my fundamentals and one the key areas I am concentrating on right now is having a top notch walk.

I read this article on the main website but since it didn't have videos it's a bit difficult to visualize the walk.

I found a couple of videos on YouTube and would like to know which is the walk that is considered the best.

If you have any good videos demonstrating a powerful walk, feel free to share.

I don’t have any videos but I can tell you that more than likely you won’t be able to mimic a walk down to the T.

It’s important to make your walk congruent with your overall presentation. I’ve seen nerdy looking guy’s practice the “tough” cowboy esque walk and it just doesn’t look right at all.

I don’t know your niche but universally you’ll want to walk to your own rhythm. Try walking with headphones and flow to the rhythm of the song while displaying all the confident postural cues like head up, eyes above everyone oncoming, arm swinging, back straight, own your space and don’t be afraid to graze other people (obviously don’t bump into anybody but light grazing of the arm or hand is okay).

Remix your walk so that it’s congruent with your joint alignments, foot orientation (some people’s knees point inward when their feet are straight so it forces them to have wide set feet), and overall niche or look. “Bad boys” can get away with a more tough slow walk, “pretty guys” can get away with a more graceful or beautiful “walking on clouds” type of walk.

This is a good example of what I consider to be a good walk, and similar to mine. I get compliments on mine all the time.

The main things I focus on:

- Move slowly
- No jerky movements, more of a swinging/rolling feel, always be balanced
- Relax the body (especially shoulders, don't hunch) and lift your posture through the chest, not the head/shoulders
- Chin up, head still, neutral expression
- Get a good swing on the arms
