So a few months ago, I met this girl at a bar through some mutual friends, and bought her a drink and we all had a group conversation. I was interested in this girl but we were always together as a group so I didn't get her number. However, since then I've seen her a few times and chatted with her for a bit on facebook. The chat went good, so I decided the next time I saw her I'd ask her out or for her number. However, I saw her the next day but she was with her friend, so we just smiled and exchanged a few words. Since then (about a week and a half ago), not much has happened, except she's always been liking my things that I post on facebook (I know, means nothing, except I assume she would only do that if she thought I was a nice guy, or nice enough to say "Hi" to if we saw eachother again).
Then I saw her today at my university, but I was walking with a girl from one of my classes. She walked past us and I made eye contact with her as I was going to say something to her, but she looked down quickley and turned red.
Could this be because she thought that I liked her (which I do), but then saw me with another girl so she got embarrassed?
If so what should I do? I mean, I wanted to ask her out in person, but it could be weeks before I see her again. If she thinks I like this girl and am not interested in her, she could move on by then. Should I just strike up a convo with her on facebook and see if she wants to hang out? This is not my preferred option, but I don't know what to do.
