Hey GC.

Guys, what are some things you’ve mastered? How (or why) did you end up focusing on these skills?

Checking in again J, ain't got much to do inbetween my exams so why not help people, eh?

Good at... I suppose I'm an all-rounder but I have to admit their at a pretty good level. Bashful? Perhaps, however it took me a LONG time to get here and there's always stuff to learn about yourself and the world. Or might be a Chinese thing, eh? :D

First thing that I got really wanted to do... was actually learn the violin believe it or not! Nothing my parents pushed me into. (Well, I did 'have' to learn how to swim at 4 but I loved swimming anyway so it worked out.)

Music:

At aged 4 I wanted to play the violin. I don't honestly know where it came from, might be from listening to muscial scores with strings in them? I believe it was due to the wonder you experience as a child. Eventually I loved learning about music and went from their, afterwards I stopped playing when I reach Gr. 7, must've been burnout from the music exams. Finally I've picked it up again and have been learning pieces from video game/anime scores (Yep I'm still a nerd at heart) as now eastern music has being more interesting to study. The string and piano arrangements/scores have been thing that has managed to fire it back up again.

This also happened to me learning the Electric/Acoustic guitar, however I'm currently focusing on piano too.

Inspirations:

Guitar: Andy Mckee, Antoine Dufour
String: Umesatsu-San
Piano Youtubers: Ishter-Kun, Animenz

Sports:

I was very competative as a child. Enough said. Almost managed to get into the GB team but as you had to participate in so many tournaments and accumulate a number of pts. to get a spot and involved training 3/4 times a week excluding tournaments. I didn't prioritised it as I wanted to still do music/art etc. and do medicine. Also wanted to do other sports and not focus on one.

Languages:

Communicate not just in English. Can speak to people without others understanding. Speak to pretty girls.
Also to learn about with origins and culture.

How the hell did you do all that when you're not even in your 20's?!

When I was never really into the party scene, sure they were fun but not really for me. Also life wanted to teach me some lessons very early as a child so I developed mature mindset and pretty perceptive as a child. With what happened to me I wanted to enjoy life as much as possible, the lessons taught me I should live life how I wanted and do the things I loved. Life wasn't something to squander away as time could be up at any second. So I want to learn as much as I can in the time I have. I want to learn all I can, not lose brain cells by getting smashed everytime.

So this attitude led me talking to others with the same mindset, meeting others with the same interest. This then developed my social calibration and led me onto the GC journey too, in terms of romance.

I guess it's just been ingrained into my personality, I've got this ever lasting hunger to just learn and gather knowledge.

Life isn't something to squander away, time could be up at any second. So go out there and live it.

Investing in stocks and finance in general. I only became good because of a natural passion for it. I am a constant student and fully embrace it. I feel like I'm not studying or working when I read up on the latest financial news, books, stocks, etc...
