Can we make a list of deep dive questions? I usually ask em about their dream careers and what they would like to in life etc (I'm a senior in college).

But I'd love to have a list that I could reference. What are y'all's best deep dive questions?

Dude personally I suckkkk at memorizing certain lines and topics for my deep dives.

But what works for me and allows me to more easily transition into deeper topics is just going off of whatever conversational topic we stumble on.

Like if I ask if they’re in school (which would be a natural small talk boring question, but it could also feel like screening to her), and they reply yes, I might ask their major, and if they aren’t all that passionate about their major, i’ll ask what they really want to do.

They might not have really given it alot of thought so then i’ll help them like say “okay, well what was one thing you always wanted to be when you were younger a fire fighter? a sky diver? I could see you as an actor maybe?”

Hope this helps atleast a little my memory is terrible when it comes to stuff like this.

@batman12 dude! Ask them if they've ever seen you and Bruce Wayne in the same room :')

There's a few articles on deep diving that will give you a lot of suggestions on the main site. Remember it's deep diving, so you dive into their answers. A lot of "why?" questions from their answers is a cheat to exploit it.

When you were little, what did you want to be when you grew up? - feel free to tease them here or joke that you wanted to be superman... then ask why? This will give you more depth to play with.

They wanted to be a teacher? Why? Run with this - if they were inspired by a good teacher, what made them good? Why did they like their classes?

Why are they interested in this or that, how did they get in to it. Every deep dive is different due to exploring their experience and thoughts.

If you still want suggestions
What did you want to be when you grew up?
What's your dream job?
If you could go anywhere in the world right now, money no object, where would you go?
What would you do if you won millions?
What got you into that hobby?
What's the most interesting place you've been?
Best childhood memory?
Favourite film/book/play?
Ask about jewellery/tattoo etc
Do you come here often? (Haha)

I always try to get her to tell me what she wants to tell me. But I usually start off with very basic stuff like 'what do you like to do for fun?' 'are you an outdoors or indoors girl?' 'Are you adventurous?' and just get the ball rolling. After that I have no script, I just go off what she says.

Where do you call "home"? The premise being if you don't live where you call home, where is that?

"I think we know some of the same people" often we have common friends but know them from different parts of their lives.
