What's new

What equipment / products (phone?) on amazon to turn on music naturally/easy when she gets into your apartment?

"I spent $100 on a pair of Logitech 2.1 speakers a few years ago, and they've served me just fine - if you're planning on bringing new girls back to your place regularly, these are assuredly a worthwhile investment."

So then would you pair your phone to the speakers, connect it when you get into your apartment, and turn it on ?

I don't know, I don't really like having a phone because of beeps/buzzes/noises on but it may be the easiest/best way.

Well nowadays, you can get a google home mini or any smart speaker and just ask it to play some song*.

Then you can even buy some smart lights, connect them to your smart speaker and now you can set the mood on command.

*Even better if you have a spotify or some music streaming account, then you can play whatever you like on it.

Thanks, so if I buy a smart speaker, it will only be able to play a limited number of songs. But with spotify, it increases the odds of it being able to play the song I want?

In the worst case scenario, there are some songs I can easily find on youtube and then play it on my TV (which is connected to my computer). Seems like a few steps to fumble.

What would you do if you wanted to buy the least number of new things?

So if you just get the smart speaker, then it will play songs "inspired" by what you asked.
i.e. you walk into the house and just say "hey google play some smooth jazz/sad music/hip hop/rap" it'll do that, no problems.

But If you say "hey google play songs by [artist]" it might instead play a curated playlist related to that artist (although it wont literally be songs by that artist) but usually I find it plays all the main songs by that artist.

If you ask it to play a specific song, it might complain and instead play a playlist related to that song (which will usually contain that song anyway).

With some preparation, you can also get it to only play specific songs for free
but I've never bothered with that.

If you want to be able to just say "hey google, play [specific song]" then you'd need some premium account.

So if you just get the smart speaker, you'll technically still be able to play the songs you want, just not as directly unless you use the method outlined in the yt video or get a subscription.

To give you an idea, I have a bluetooth speaker and I have a smart speaker. I dont use my bluetooth speaker anymore because the smart speaker is so convenient, even with just the free account. I can tell it to lower the volume a bit, or pause or skip, all with my voice. (And this is just music. Smart speakers can do so much more)

If you wanted to play yt on a bluetooth speaker you'd also have to deal with youtube ads before every song or an autoplay which is probably not any different from the curated playlist on the smart speaker.

When you are with a girl in a seductive situation... make sure you but it on flight mode. Easy fix.

This also prevents other disruptance.

We usually buy a pair of good pc speakers that we plug into a laptop through minijack. Thats what carousel and I do. This also allows her to plug her phone into it if she insist on it.

Get a set up with eq options - especially for the bass... so that you dont wake up others at night. I also recommend putting something soft under them for similar reasons. Anything goes really althought you can buy special sound isolatng tissue in multimedia stores. Does not cost much.

Logitech is generally good.

For godsake buy spotify premium. Publicity kills the mood. Paying 10 usd a month imto avoid that is worth it.

My brother in law had one of these on our last family vacation. It sounds great, is an Amazon choice product, and is well made and reliable. It has BlueTooth and a 3.5 mm headphone jack for connectivity. $25 US for the basic model, a bit more for the larger models with bigger batteries and better bass. I gave them to my wife and daughter as presents and they love them.

People I know who have Spotify love it. Have a channel or playlist ready, connect to the speaker, and presto, music. Use your tablet for music and you won't get phone calls or texts while you are escalating.
