What kinds of girls or situations have you bumped into where it was a bad idea to wear a dress shirt on a date?

I'm trying to identify types of people or situations where its a bad idea to wear a dress shirt on a date

An active outdoor activity date. hiking, running biking...

But in those situations I always have a dress shirt ( collared butonup Cotton, pressed) on a hanger in the car.

Anything clothes related is linked to environment and context.

It wouldn’t make sense to wear a dress shirt at the beach, if you go running, at a rock concert, the gym, etc...
That should be 10% of the locations you’re going to hang out with girls (unless you do beach game).

If you are doing coffee shops, malls, street, etc... yes, it makes more sense to wear a shirt.

You could do a classy T-shirt too but most guys have their wardrobe filled with crappy T-shirts so a dress shirt is a much better staple unless you know about style.

I wore a dress shirt to a houseparty with some ghetto/ hood people and suprise! I was the only one wearing a button down muscle shirt lol. I felt overdressed,but that's cuz of the culture of the people surrounding me. I was bombarded with questions of what I was going to wear by my colleagues and turns out I looked better than they did.

I read that article where Chase said he always wore a button down or dress shirt when he went out to game and I used to think must wear that in order to pick up chicks or go on dates,but that's not true at all. As long as you are hygenic, don't smell and don't wear raggedy clothes your style of clothing usually won't be the difference maker in a seduction. At the end of the day it's all about how you make the girl feel and the shirt you choose to put on won't be enough on its own to influence a girl.
