What makes girls talk a lot?

Okay, I notice that in social circle, girls talk a lot. They talk about random things. What for?

My hypotheses:
- Charming guys. Girls do need to charm men as supporters/provider/lover.
- Giving social value => increase social ranking
- Increasing exposure => bad publicity is better than no publicity
- Having a chance to make guys wonder what she talks about, and go to forum asking about it => gaining investment
