what should you do if a woman slaps you?

in my life i have been slapped by two women.
the first time i was so shocked that i just didnt have a reaction,
I just sternly warned her not to do it again and that was the end of it.
more recently(yesterday in fact).
I got slapped by my angry drunk girlfriend.
I told her to stop but she just kept slapping and slapping me until I swept her (leg sweep).
she got up enraged and tried to slap me again,but i swept her again.
I calmly explained that every time she slaps me ,her butt is going to bounce off the carpet.
she went in the corner started crying,and started calling everyone saying I had beaten her.
this got me thinking.
whats the appropriate response to a woman slapping you?
and we all know in this environment you can easily find yourself cancelled or even in jail for responding as I did,so I really wonder if there is a better response

In this day and age I don't think any man can afford to have a violent woman around, regardless of what she's capable of or not. The risk of getting into deep trouble for something you didn't do is huge.

The psychology of women under pressure is one of victimhood and emotional impulsivity, which means that when she does something that causes damage to someone else or herself and there's any possibility of repercussions, her impulse is to escape the blame by any means possible, driven by emotional panic. This is the problem when dealing with people with a victim mindset, because since they consider themselves weak relative to everything else, they must go way over the top when it comes to reactions to have any chance of success, or so they believe. So she can go from 0-100 real quick with false accusations when cornered.

That's why I don't tolerate any violence whatsoever, and will not react physically but end a relationship on the spot if it happens. I've never had to do that exactly but I did throw out my live-in girlfriend when she started squaring up on me and losing control, when I sensed she was thinking of it I just said 'OK you're out' and walked off. Since she didn't do anything I considered it a lesson and took her back, but even dishing these kind of lessons in the society we live in is very risky business - it took some time for her to accept what happened and I was ready for anything.

I think it is natural to react as Tony does in this clip from the Sopranos of a woman (his wife) pulling this kind of shit. Most women are (physically) such a non-threat that it is bewildering and hilarious.

Unfortunately, in this day and age men cannot afford to listen to their instincts for the myriad of reasons already pointed out. I want to add that this extends even to "moral", more traditional girls, as several people close to me learned the hard way.

I guess if you are a mobster with an avaricious wife completely dependent on you for money and esteem, tainted by her association with you in the eyes of society, you can get away with reminding her who is boss. Just be wary of any guns laying around before you do...
