What to do when the girl you approach starts talking to someone else in a different language?

So I'm in a brand new country in Europe and my driver is showing me around the country. He shows me this 'secret' spot where only the locals go and I find a girl on her phone by herself staring out the scenery. I approach her and start talking to her casually. She's receptive and come to find out she's traveling as well.

But as we start talking, my driver also gets excited and starts to join in the conversation as well. Soon, my driver and her were talking in a different language while I was sitting there basically not knowing what to do LOL so I just took pictures and played around with a dog that was there.

They were talking about coronavirus restrictions and him basically giving her tips on what to do around the country but it definitely detracted my initial conversation with her while not knowing what to do. I just sat there kind of bored since I didn't understand the language. We ended up just exchanging social media and leaving.

Any tips to handle a situation like this?

Yeah in situations like that I immediately punish, but I think it has to be very congruent. When girls pull shit like that towards me, I immediately become "distracted". I am very sure a chick feels the difference between a guy who is ignoring her because he feels too cool for this school, or a guy who is ignoring because he doesnt know what to do. Or I simply go and open another chick, the first one will notice, but knowing my prideful self, if I had to resort to that the first chick probably already lost any chance and I will become under the radar vengeful lol.

But when I am in the set and the girl notices me becoming distracted and rebuilds the connection I give her leeway.More than once girls who were very into me started talking to my friends just to be social or accepted while their main target was me.. This happens sometimes so you give some social pressure.
