When to be honest with women

I got back together with my gf after we were broken up. We were just friends (eventually fwb) for a little but in the meantime. During that time, I had sex with he best friend. Me and the friend agreed that it'd be a good idea to keep it under wraps. The friend is the type who might have told my ex about it though.

Anyway, what's the best policy here? Just never mention it? This is further complicated that I kinda want to arrange a threesome with the both of them
