Hey guys, new podcast here: https://bit.ly/3yDBmfi
Probably the only place in Europe that has 20+ degrees from november to march, The Canary Islands, Spain
How to reach the Canary Islands? : cheap airlines from all over Europe main cities, especially from Madrid, London – plenty of flying options and if you want to do van life, ferries from south of Spain.
Where to go, let's start with the island I recommend the less:
Lanzarote
Do you like small places filled with Italian and Spanish men that love biking? Then Lanzarote it’s the place for you.
Reality is there are few spots on the island and none of them have great volume. Although From Arrecife to Famara or Playa Blanca is only 30 minutes.
If you are into nature, biking and surfing, cool,But I think still think Tenerife and GC are better and offer overall better accomodations
Fuerte Ventura
Volume is pretty much all about Corralejo,in the north, where on week ends locals come to party as in the local municipality, puerto del rosario, there is pretty much nothing, actually the city itself has a bit rundown vibe.
You will have germans and italians visitors – I spent some time in the south in Morra Jable, (almost 2 hours driving to the south) and while I think the place is beautiful, it makes sense to visit only for tourism purposes
Now let’s go to the two best options:
Tenerife – south best weather but a lot of british tourists, night game in las Veronicas if you are brave enough or Friday/Saturday locals also go to Papagayo and Casablanca
People come here for surfing, train at beach volley or visiting natural attractions so daygame will be a little bit hard.
Not much volume and quality in the app in the south, bumble is pretty much dead better chance in santa cruz, but climate is different.
Also consider that Santa Cruz carnival draws a lot of attention and people so it might be worth checking it out and staying there while investing one hour of your time to visit the south.
The University is in a village called La laguna and it’s quite distant from everything and it’s frankly a cold weather (in tenerife there are over 20 micro climates, so in 1 hour you could pass from summer to winter temperatures back and forth)
Mainly british tourists and italians in Las Americas – Los Cristianos and a lot of old people in pension.
There aren’t many solo girls travelling so you need to have your two set game on point and you need to be opportunistic.
El Medano is the paradise for wind sports lovers such as kite surf
Here you have a small village with relative low volume, although being small and attractive to sportive people, makes so that it attracts a more stable digital nomad community – it reminded me of Tarifa in Spain.
Gran Canaria –
Same as Tenerife, the south has better climate while the north has more volume, although here the city is more compact and less spread out. Although the airbnb’s will be generally more expensive than Tenerife.
The main beach and University are near the city so Gran Canaria, overall, gives you the biggest volume and logistics.
The south is Mas Palomas and here you have all nationalities, I saw in my experience that overall there is more young people.
other islands have zero volume, don’t even bother.
