Women Blinking Slowly...Attraction?

Any of you ever notice this?

I'm talking a series of three or more slow blinks with continued eye contact. Apparently, in cats this is a signal of affection:

Slowly blinking at you is a sign of pure love, and it’s often even referred to as a “cat kiss.”

When other cats are around, you may see your kitty slow blinking a lot. This is to let the other cats know that everything is cool. In the wild, where cats battle for territory, this blinking message is really important, as all the other cats will realize they are no threat to one another. They’re signaling that there’s no need for fighting.

Of course, women aren't cats.

The past few times that I've gotten this, it's been when 1.) I wasn't talking and 2.) was simply staring into the woman's eyes with a slight smile (which actually is more like a blank expression for me sometimes...my face doesn't move much, haaa). Do you guys get this sometimes when you just drop what you're saying and suck her in for a bit?

The reason I ask you all is because I wonder if it's a flirty thing OR if it's a symptom stemming from my blank face OR if this is just some weird coincidence.

I use it to communicate boredom or in some cases disbelief.

I guess the next time it happens, try moving the girl someplaceyou can escalate on her and then we'll know for sure!

Will do! Looking back, I think Chase's point about moving girls was one of his most insightful/accurate ones. That along with assuming attraction. To an extent knowing this stuff is nice...however it's hard to focus on in the moment. Better to just follow those two rules and let the women filter themselves out.

If its done intentionally, which would be hard to tell, I would think its a sign of interest; because if its intentional It means your having some effect on her. If its an unconscious behavior, its because she's interested, curious, or otherwise focused on you. The average human blinks 17-25 times per minute, blink rate slows to around 7-10 per minute when were interested in something. Try this exercise to be able to gauge someone's level of interest or boredom. watch them from a distance, take a base measurement of there average BPM; walk up to them to start a conversation, make it extremely boring, then later on, start another conversation, make this one extremely interesting; this persons blink rate will increase during the first conversation, and decrease during the second. You can accurately gauge a persons interest level this way, and it can tell you when you should stay on a topic, or move to a new one.
