14 day Newbie Assignment

Hi guys,

I got up to day 4 on the 14 day Newbie Assignment, and I decided to say "excuse me, do you have the time? My phone battery died" instead of "Hi" to 3 different women tonight - it just feels a lot safer than randomly saying Hi, because I actually have a reason to be talking to her.

I was thinking since it's all about breaking the ice, asking for the time should be fine. However maybe I'm thinking if I can't say hi, how am i going to do Day 5's assignment which goes a step beyond.

Should I go back and do it properly and say Hi to 6 different women, or should I just do another 3 "time" tomorrow and finish off this day's assignment?

Well,
If you have the courage to ask a girl for a time, do you think that automatically means you have the courage to say hi?
I think 6-8 words are actually harder than a two letter hi.
You can definitely go for it, will help you work on your slow talking pace too

Thanks, fair enough. I will ask for the time 3 more times today and move onto Day 5.

I am possibly overthinking these because I really want to get it right and not miss any steps.

I get what you mean, you want it "to be perfect" and even though it seems logical, you dont want to actually take an easier way out and hence learn less.
It happens with me all the time, that feeling, but sometimes you need someone from the outside to tell you "dont worry, you're doing just fine "
