There's one girl at work who is 3 years younger than me and has been flirting with me a lot ever since she joined my team. During her second week she bought me dinner after work (I was helping her, so she wanted to do something for me I guess even though I told her that I don't want to have dinner) and then asked me if I was single and seemed like she wanted to date me, but since we are on the same team I didn't want to do it. She got into a relationship with the guy she was dating back then. Recently I noticed that she is using many guys to make her favors - to drive her places, to expand her network with other teams, etc. She is also using me to help her at work. At the beginning she was always following me and mirroring my moves, but hasn't been doing that lately, probably because her confidence increased. Still, she gives me all these compliments, super strong eye contact at such a close proximity that I can feel her breath in my face (it gets me hard sometimes). Later the same day, she usually has some long work related questions, so I guess that her flirting is to prepare me for her upcoming requests. It makes me feel manipulated and used. Obviously she is using her looks to get ahead and as time progresses she focuses on more senior guys. In my opinion she is trying to change her boyfriend, because he wants her to move in with him, but she is super convinced that she doesn't want to do it and keeps meeting other guys.
Considering her behavior and how she manipulates and uses people, I would say that she is not a top girlfriend material. She doesn't seem to be loyal to anyone for a long time. She super quickly focuses her attention on different guys, whenever she thinks that they can provide something to her.
There was one time when they were about to break up and she told me that she wants to join me for one holiday, because if they break up then she will have to stay at home. After that also wanted to watch 4th of July fireworks with me, knowing that they are near my apartment. I was trying to ignore her back then and had an appointment at that time so I didn't go with her.
All this has been a massive distraction for me and my performance started to decrease, so, as I mentioned, I decided to ignore her, stop going to lunches with her and focus on my work. However, she has been monitoring my projects very closely and even managed to join one of them recently, so now I'm stuck working with her. I don't trust her and would prefer to work with some dude who I do or an uglier girl where the sexual dynamic isn't so strong, but for now that's the situation. I'm planning to move to another team in 2 months after I, hopefully, get promoted, so that won't happen immediately.
She is really getting under my skin and since I don't have anyone to have sex with at the moment, I really want to fuck her. I spend way too much time thinking about her. In order to regain my focus, I must find a way to acquire control of this situation somehow. I think that I should be as direct as possible in my approach, so that either I fuck her or she becomes ice cold and super professional with me.
Please let me know what you think and what are my options here. Should I try to meet her outside of work and then go for a make out? There are two outcomes that I can imagine:
1) Worst case: She rejects me and stops flirting with me, because I acted on it and she doesn't want to get burned again. (that's good actually, because the whole flirting would stop)
2) Best case: She reciprocates, I have the control and end up fucking her.
Also what should I do when she gets flirty at work? I can't really act on it there. What are some good ways to take control when this happens?
