Give your body 1-2 hours between meals before drinking caffeine… it sticks to the iron in your meals and doesn’t let you absorb around 60% of it. No iron = no oxygen to your scalp = hair loss…

Fuck energy drinks, I knew they were bad, but I thought the side effects wouldn’t be noticeable until I’m old. I guess not.

Avoid caffeine and energy drinks entirely, if possible.

Minor updates:
- minoxidil topic is working to prevent hair loss. Not as potent as finasteride, but it's getting the job done. (Can't miss a day of it though)
- minoxidil oral is working too, but see below.
- sex drive is great, horny as a mofo, hard-ons almost every day when I wake up.

Side effects:
- very strange itches during the day, specially after I shower. Nothing too serious, but a bit annoying for sure.
- a slight increase in body hair, mostly in the face and back. Again, nothing serious, but an annoyance as well.

Sounds like skin dehydration. Have you tried moisturizer lotion?

Don’t use finasteride.

What is the point of hair when you just don't have a working dick?
Who will look at them? The one who will stroke your head and console you that everything will work out?

And here is what the most advanced "inventors" come to:
Using exo Testosterone in combination with 5-alpha reductase blockers. The myth about the safety of this group of drugs has been advancing for quite a long time.
Merck Corporation (manufacturer of Finasteride) has changed the instructions for this drug, and now there is a warning that its use can lead to PERMANENT ERECTILE DYSFUNCTION.
Here are the statistics on Finasteride side effects:
Low libido - 94%;
Erectile dysfunction - 92%;
Reduced excitability - 92%;
Orgasm problems - 69%;
Thoughts of suicide-44%;
Severe depression-36%.
The average duration of side effects in the genital area was 40 months, and in 20% of cases it was 6 years.
The most interesting thing is that initially the manufacturer assured that:
A decrease in the amount of ejaculate was observed in 1.2% of patients;
Erectile dysfunction (impotence) - in 1.3% of patients;
Low Libido - in 1.8% of patients.

In addition, a cycle (or trt) of Testosterone with such a drug is practically meaningless, since dihydrotestosterone is the most active form in our tissues. This is the main reason that the largest number of anabolic steroids has been synthesized on its base.

Exogenous testo has little to no effect on increasing hair loss.
Your body can just convert so much testo to DHT, and you just don't have enough testo receptors in your scalp to make a difference.

Nandrolone, otoh, will render every hair treatment uselles, depending on the dose.

The problem with blocking DHT is that DHT is much more powerful than testo for your libido!
Even if you don't get severe side effects, there's still the cumulative side of things.
An initial decrease of 2-3% seems like nothing, but if it keeps adding on for 10 years then it becomes a huge problem!

Huh, never considered this was curable. I started shaving bald the second I noticed my bald patch. FWIW, I've never looked so good in my life (at least from the neck up)

I was referring to exo testosterone as to a bad remedy to counteract fin side effects. Since this is what is considered to be a common practice.

Usually side effects come from the oral version and in higher dosages.
But you can also be an individual with high intolerance to the drug.

"Minoxidil side effects
Minoxidil oral tablet doesn’t cause drowsiness, but it can cause other side effects.

More common side effects:
nausea
vomiting
changes in facial and body hair, in both men and women (your hair may become darker and thicker, especially on your face and upper body)
If these effects are mild, they may disappear within a few days or a couple of weeks. If they’re more severe or don’t disappear, talk to your doctor or pharmacist.

Serious side effects:
increased heart rate
rapid weight gain of more than 5 pounds
trouble breathing, especially when you lie down
new or worsening pain in your chest, arms, or shoulders or a feeling of severe indigestion
dizziness, lightheadedness, or feeling faint"

I think I may be losing my hair though I suspect it's because of the creatine as I had zero hair loss until I started taking creatine. Will minoxidil make my hair grow back?

FWIW, a full transplant - if your recession and thinning have reached their endpoint - is probably the superior (albeit more expensive) option.|

I'd get one myself, but I'm still receding (hairline is down around the back of my skull and the lateral areas above my sideburns are going too). I'm also kind of poor and adapted by regularly giving myself buzz-cuts and growing a beard.

Ok, feel like this topic need a proper update.

MINOXIDIL ORAL 2,5MG

Been using minoxidil oral 2,5mg every day for the past 7 months.
My hair started to thin out and fall again, but very VERY slowly.

So yes, I can say that minoxidil oral (in that concentration range) is definitely not as potent compared to finasteride 1mg.
But is still better than doing nothing

SIDE EFFECTS
I've started to see extra hair growing on my face (mostly cheeks) and back (behind the lats).
Plus my chest and leg hair are growing 2x faster, which means I have to trim them with 2x the frequency that I was used too.
Not fun.

Also went to the cardiologist and everything seemed fine.
Gonna do some clinical exams to further check on how the organ is functioning after being using the drug for a while.

NEW FINASTERIDE TREATMENT

Yesterday I started a new fina treatment appointed by my dermatologist.
Basically it's concentrated finasteride injected directly on the scalp (so no side effects like the oral drug!!!).
They use a small needle, and gently pierce all the top area, injecting the substance using regular spacing.
The application per se is mildly uncomfortable, but the results seem promising.
Will keep you guys posted on how it went.

Read this on X a few months ago:

The Hair Loss Dream Team Stack

- GHK-cu
- Zn-Thymulin
- PTD-DBM
- Ketoconazole/caffeine shampoo
- Tadalafil microdose
- Microneedling + red light on scalp

In the unlikely event the above fails:

- Minoxidil + trentinoin
- PRP or exosomes

Simple, really

I found GHK-cu and PTD-DBM on Amazon, but I couldn’t find Zn-thymulin.

As for shampoo, I got the one from Keeps with Saw Palmetto and Caffeine (I’ve been using a 2% Ketoconazole shampoo for a year; it helps my hair not to get greasy, but I still lose hair). I also bought the Hims Thick Fix shampoo. I believe they’re kinda the same. Actually, I think neither will do anything, but whatever.

I’m not using Tadalafil - too many cons, and I’m sure it does nothing for the hair.

Red light therapy appears to be more effective than minoxidil 5%, but you need to do it three times a week. I almost bought the Hair Max device at the mall last week, but the available laser cap/comb devices use 600-700 wavelenghts, and the study was done with 1565 nm NAFL. So, I’d have to go to the hair clinic, where they have better machines, three times a week. That’s too time-consuming for me and very expensive, too.

As for microneedling, I have no idea. I know you have to go to the hair clinic and get it done. I also saw some devices that let you do it at home, but I don’t even know what it is, let alone use it.

I also bought these hair vitamins on a shopping mall because they were on sale.

For now, I’ll start with GHK-cu, PTD-DBM, the new shampoo, and the hair vitamins, and let you know in 3 months. I’ll try to update in a month too, but I don’t think I’ll notice any difference.

Good luck, y’all.

Will you apply the peptide in combination with microneedling?
Every study I've checked suggests that applying preventive hair-loss substances with small scalp perfurations is vastly superior to using lotions and shampoos.

Guys, guys, guys… serious question… wouldn’t it be cheaper and more convenient to pay for a hair transplant?

I glanced over the posts so please forgive me if I am missing some context but it seems like some of you are spending quite some time and money for weekly doses of finasteride, minoxydil or other kind of recurring treatments.

You can get cheap hair transplants in Turkey and I think Colombia too.

The problem is the original hair may continue to thin and/or recede. So I've seen the hair meds recommend with the hair transplants

I've seen a surgery where they can lower the hairline but may be risky for men since the original hairline can still recede

Additionally, the hair transplant procedures can leave scars

Even with a transplant, you will be still need to take minoxidil and ideally finasteride so that it grows out long and thick enough to make up for the reduced density (transplanted hair cannot ever be as dense as natural hair).

I got a transplant about 1.5 years ago of 2200 grafts. Been taking Monixidil 5mg and Finasteride 1mg daily since then. I haven't noticed any reduced libido or adverse side effects so far, though reading what @Karea Ricardus D. and @POB have said is make me reconsider the Finasteride. I might reduce the dose to 1mg every second day just to go on the safe side, and if there's no changes I'll just go off it completely.

Not if you still have healthy hair.
Gotta take a look at the norwood scale to check your individual grade.
I think they only recommend transplants if you are above grade 3 or 4.
(I'm a grade 2>3 btw)

Probably for the rest of your life.

Your minoxidil dosage is on the higher end.
I would def check my heart condition ASAP, especially if you have heart issues in your family.
And if you have the means, drop the oral fina and do some kind of injection treatment.
Fina's side effects will come sooner or later, and you can never be sure if they'll be permanent.
