I want to keep this short.
The majority of people in my social circle seem to try to constantly outdo each other and I feel like I have to act a certain way (being more vocal/expressive) in order to stop people from taking advantage. The issue is that I'm naturally a calm and laid back guy who doesn't like to get into arguments/Diss contents etc as they're a waste of time and energy.
My questions:
1) Why do people act this way?
a) I believe it's because they want to attract girls or perhaps show off to other guys how strong they are.
b) They may see you as a threat so want to take you down (turn people against you)
c) Or they may see you as weak so want to take advantage to boost their own status.
2) How do I apply the law of least effort in these situations?
I say this because it's hard for me to hide my emotions. When I'm feeling angry/embarrassed etc you can easily see it on my face. This has improved (still needs some work) with experience.
What do you guys think of my explanations above?
