"Do you have a girlfriend?"

I dread this question.

Every social circle I had been to, e.g. work, family, high school union, I always hear this question.
Truth is, I never have one.
How can I answer it to not look like a loser.

"Maybe " or "Maybe... maybe not "

Or one of the responses I read either on the main site or here from a boards member was: "I am seeing someone but it's nothing serious"

Or if a guy asks, like a coworker, I think you could playfully tease him in different ways like "why, are you offering me yours? " or go gay a little bit: "you are a pretty cool dude, but I am into women " implying he wants to date you

How about:

Her: Do you have a girlfriend?
You: No. I have six.
Her: ?????
You: One for the Monday. One for the Tuesday. Etc... One for the Saturday. And on the seventh day I rest.

All this said in a playful way. The goal is to answer something, without actually answering the question, and leaving her in doubt.

You have plenty of ways to play around this, e.g. say it's Tuesday:

Her: shouldn't you be seeing your Tuesday girl today?
You: actually I have a vacancy now for the Tuesday job.

Etc...
