Girl in class:What could I have done better?

Hey guys

I'm a new here.I've been doing a couple of approaches spread over 3 months(entirely direct since it's technically easier than indirect direct) so it's not a lot but I have been ramping up my efforts recently and hope to get good enough to get the kind of love life(or rather sex life) I want.Anyways...

The scene:I was sitting 1 seat away from the blonde girl on my left and if it makes any difference it was a large first year auditorium type of (400+ people) class.There was also an Asian girl 1 seat away on my right.

I wasn't in the mood for pickup at the time so I chose a seat in the middle and back of the auditorium and away from people.But I also made a resolution earlier in the day to try at least one approach.

I didn't try until about 1 hour and 20 min(I think) in to it.But in the mean time I caught the blonde looking to her right several times as if she were looking at me.I also looked directly back once at her and she turned back after a second.

The Asian also seemed to be looking subtly in my direction early on.I'm not sure if they were looking at me but I just assumed they did and started to make a plan on who I should open.Choices...

We were supposed to debate a topic briefly with the person beside us and I did it with the Asian girl and she didn't know English very and didn't look as attractive as the blond when she faced me so I decided on the blonde.

Just a moment later she asked me if I had whiteout and I auto reacted and said no.I knew I could be wrong but assumed it was a sign of interest as she didn't ask the girl she was talking to earlier(At least I didn't hear her).

So 10-15 seconds later after building some courage(and nervous anticipation) I opened her and it went like so:

Me:Hey.

BlondeTurns to me)

Me:If you like me, you could just tell me.

Her:[Pause(surprise maybe?)]:Why do you say I like you?(or words to those effect,I can't exactly remember)

Me:Because you keep looking to me.

SheSmiles then looks away and down, quietly laughs(giggles or chuckles,couldn't really tell)

Me:What's your name?

Her:Blondie(Not real name)

Me:I'm Frichast.

She appeared to be positive towards me and I at least couldn't see any overt disinterest or rudeness.I was sort of getting in conversation with her but then told her we should probably talk later but then I changed my mind and asked what she did for fun but then she told me we should talk later.She then took her phone out 5 seconds later and texted so maybe she wasn't interested?But then she stooped after a few seconds and took notes.

So until the end we didn't talk and when we got up she was ahead of me(as she sat near the aisle) I went out the same door and was like 4-5 meters behind her.I thought I should call out her name but I hesitated and said forget it since I thought it was too late.About 2-3 seconds out the door I saw her look over her shoulder before she reached the hallway.

She went left at the hallway, and I went to the right which led to the bus home.

Questions:
1)What did I do wrong?
2)What did I do right?
3)What happened?I couldn't tell if she liked me or not and I am very confused.

Oh and forgive if I overdid it with descriptions or spent to much time on insignificant details.I'm new to journal writing and journal like posts.

-Not so much of what you did wrong, but rather, what you didn't do.
You should have spoke more to the Asian Girl, and make it look like the both of you are enjoying the talk together. The Blonde will notice, and will put you in the "Pre-selected" menu. She will be more intrigued in talking to you and find out more about you.

Have you tried asking yourself if a guy said that to you.. what would you think???
If I told you the same thing, what would you think of me??
Right... "What is this cocky guy on about? Who does he think he is? Hah!"

She wasn't laughing out of interest for you, she was laughing AT you, for being so vain or appearing cocky.
Sure, maybe she was a little interested, but she wasn't into you. You only know she is if she holds a strong eye contact with you with those puppy look.
I believe that is what killed it.

- You showed her that you was an indecisive man. When you make a decision you should stick to it. It shows that you appear to not know what you really want, and girls won't be able to trust what you say or take your word for anything. It is a sign of weakness.
- And Yes, taking out her phone was a way for her to disconnect from you.

2)What did I do right?

- You Made and approach, good on ya!
- You didn't come across as needy, you didn't put too much effort.
- You didn't pursue at the end. So that gives you a chance to fix things up should you happen to bump into her again by chance.
