Girls who move out

Sup.
I often find myself in a situation where you know i girl for a certain amount of time,something in her life changes and she gives you a speech-"Hey,this is my last day/week at xyz".What should you do about it?
I seems like an obvious answer to ask her out/change numbers.But when i do it they blow me off.
It doesnt matter how your previous interaction was,seems like they just want to see how you will react.
Maybe something wrong with my delivery?
Any advices?

Sounds like they are just informing you of their logistics. This is pretty standard thing to do to tell friends you're moving.

Assuming these are girls you haven't hooked up with ?

If so, just sounds like they view you more as a friend or are just being polite to let you know that seeing them won't be as easy anymore if you lived near them.

Yeah no hookups.
Usually this happens with girls i previously asked out,but they decline,so i just keep chit-chatting them from time to time.
So should i try to get their contacts just in case,or move on?
