Not anti-looks (I literally just wrote a rant about how Spike was right about this stuff in my LR yesterday). But the way he framed the question was dumb.
Asking "what are some things I can do to improve my appearance" or something more specific would be productive, and would have gotten some good practical answers.
Asking whether gym or fashion is more important is the sort of thing someone asks when they're procrastinating on both fronts.
The OP question is valid. Guys, we have to remember that we are a VERY tiny majority of men out there. Guys on SS are starting to suffer from the curse of knowledge: we know a lot so we think most guys should just get it
You have to remember what is out there. What the algorithm pushes. Because this shapes what people see. Looksmaxxing & fashionmaxxing is everywhere... and young guy tapped into red pill or getting girls has heard it. For most guys red pill stuff and the likes is their first entry point. And to them, words like looksmaxxxing & fashionmaxxing is normal. No matter how cringe it sounds to us, it's totally normal to them.
At the end of the day... we should give benefit of the doubt at first rather than unnecessary hostility
Lastly, contrary to what you wrote... people who ask these questions are not procrastinators.
From what I've seen, most have hit the gym but have soon realized ... working out your body takes time & discipline... To them, does that mean they'll have to wait that long before experiencing the benefits of looks...
So they want to try out fashion... you can improve that In a weekend or week with the right hire or guidance (which involves spending money)
Which brings up the question: do both forms of maxxing give similar results? If yes, then they can just spend that money and get the benefits, get laid while still hitting the gym (maybe they won't bother with gym again lol)
In summary, it is more of a laziness to hit the gym consistently than a procrastination to seduce (most of the time they are actually infield)
