How to collect numbers at dance floor without seeming like a man-ho

im going to a massive salsa event at a bar soon...gonna dance with lots of girls. I also have a formal dinner event that happens annually at my workplace which I want to bring a date to. I don't know any girls to ask, so I wanted to dance with a bunch of girls at the salsa event, collect a bunch of numbers (since many might say no/flake) to ask to go to this formal.

How do I go about this to:
1) not confuse the girl if I ask her to this formal after a dance and then move on to some girl (she will probably expect me to stick around and not just move on from her if i expressed interest in having her go to my formal? or would she not think this?)
2) how to dance with many girls and ask for their number to go to the formal and not make it look like im asking every girl i dance with
3) Should i instead, make no mention of the formal and just collect instagrams and then later, ask them out to this formal
4) if all of the points above aren't good, how should i go about this.

Btw, I think the best way would honestly be to find a girl who is DTF and pull her home, then ask her, but I've never done this ever so idk how successful id be.

I recommend the first option. If she says no, there is no need to continue to dance with her. If she says yes or maybe, then you need to discuss details of the formal dinner with her to make sure she can come and how to set it up. The last would be optimal except for two problems: one, she might not be available for the dinner and two, since you have never done it before, it is not likely to work.

This is also my question. I am going to the club tomorrow and I don't dance or drink alcohol. So my main goal will be to approach and ask for number closes. But I don't know how to number farm effectively. I need to spend time in set but also need to get as many sets as possible to maximise a "live" number outcome. I will also be solo, no wing.
