Ok, so I've been doing pickup for more than a year now, and have a solid 7 months experience doing daygame. I've done more than a 1000 approaches in this time frame and fucked 11 different girls. However I did this dressed very smartly with a blazer and shirt. I think I have the boyfriend vibe written all over me though. However now I want to know how to dress as the most badass player the world has ever seen and have the vibe aswell. How do I do this? Good news is I've been hitting the gym for a year now so I'm working on my physique. What do I do about my style? How do I dress?

I think it's mostly in the non-verbals, but I'd say things that increase your edge, like longer hair, probably like people generally don't have (don't compromise on looks though) show some skin, open 2 buttons, or 3 (if the cut of the shirt is right) and see where it takes, wear slim/trim cut to show off your physique, accessorize with probably a bracelet, scarf (in some cases scarf can remove the edge too, be careful), boots work good too... Experiment with unusual stuff and see where it gets you. ;)

EDIT: A Beard works wonders for edge!

Darius's fashion articles here on GC are awesome and he's got his own blog sexystyleforjoe.com

His fashion is advice is specifically geared to be the "lover" style. Edgy and sexy.

If you want to look like a stereotypical "player", just look at any high profile athlete, celebrity in the media and how they dress.

I wouldn't say that a player has a certain type of dress. Every player is different. They all have a different persona and a different style to them.

I've known playboys who dress exclusively in suits and formal wear. I've known guys who are almost entirely into street wear who pull like crazy. It all depends on your personality and your niche. The way you dress will slot you into a different "type" more so than categorize you as a seducer. There are plenty of guys who dress sharp or dress very provocatively that I've seen yet do poorly with women.

I can't say there is a particular way they dress. If they do have a commonality, it's that they dress intentionally and they pay attention to details. Women notice details.

If you want an edge, it's not really about peacocking or standing out by being flashy, but rather dressing really well in whatever "scene" or subculture you're into and being very intentional and telling a "story" with your style.

I used to dress in nothing but V-necks and jeans and a lot of the girls I'd meet would regularly wonder out loud to me if I was a player or not... and I definitely didn't dress with edginess at the time. It's more so your vibe and body language and mindset than anything else. You can dress however you want, even in a prototypical "player" fashion, but if you don't know how to wear the clothes, you'll look very out of place and incongruent.

For me, leather Jacket+jeans works great. Also, consider a messy haircut or something of the like. Also, chinstrap facial hair works great if you can pull it off.

Rock a pair of Jordans, Marc Anthony jeans, Guess T shirt and a cool Jacket of your choice...

Oh yeah, dont forget some expensive shades to finish it up

I think shoes can make worlds of difference in this department. I've been meaning to get something more like a boot for this reason. Docksiders and slip-ons do me absolutely no good.

If you want too dressy edgy, I'd personally go with a style wear your dressed up but at the same time dressed down. For example, rock a nice pair of dress shoes, dress pants, belt and then a nice dress shirt. Have the shirt tucked in but the sleeves rolled up about 1/3 third or half-way up. Undo, about 2-3 buttons like Suave mentioned and then try experimenting with maybe some sort of necklace or watch. Just make sure, the necklace, belt buckle and watch match though (e.g., If it's silver, make sure it's all silver). From there, maybe grow a bit of beard out if you can and potentially even your hair and then you'll have some edge. Note: This is typically my go too style nowaday's and it's a real edgy but I don't give a fuck kind of style. At the same time though, there are different styles out there that can give you edge and everyone is different as you can see with the other comments. So, my advice just try and experiment with different things and see what works for you best! Also, Darius has some good stuff as J Wick mentioned. All the best and hopefully you find a style that works for you ;)

Thanks for the feedback guys! Am wondering though...would wearing a blazer get rid of the player vibe? The last year I've been big on wearing blazers as they're somewhat classy, but has that unintentionally made me look less edgy and more boyfriendish? Do blazers have a too niceish kind of look to them? What are your thoughts on blazers? Also anyone know of any online stores that specialise in really cool accessories to wear? Thanks!

In my experience, the blazer softens your edge. Whether or not it gives off a boyfriend vibe has to do with what else you're wearing (i.e.: boat shoes or other preppy clothes add too much of a nice guy touch). I recommend keeping the blazer for a later encounter with a girl (sometime after the second date).

Jwick,

That's brilliant. Love the accordion pants, no girl will be able to take their eyes off you. ;)

Jake.
