How to finalize a breakup via a text message?

I have been dating a girl recently but things just didn't work out. I had to cancel plans on her last minute one time due to being sick and it led to me telling her that I didn't think things would work out. She asked, "are you breaking up with me?" to which I said yes, and then she promptly hung up the phone.

I feel that I should send her a text message to finalize things, do any of you have any suggestions how to do so for a sendoff?
