My voice is the biggest problem right now. I believe that solving this problem will improve my game to a completely different level.
For some reason, my voice hasn't changed since I was 15 years old. So I'm a 22 years old with teen's voice. All guys same age as mine has a nice, deep voice.

What I've tried:
- Voice lesson. Many techniques, but only "chest voice" makes my voice deepen somewhat.
- Neck muscle training. Currently I can lift 25 lbs with my neck.

What I plan to try:
- Vocal box surgery: $5000. Quite expensive but I can save it up in a year.

Any solution?

Hey Cat,

I am not sure if that neck training is helping.

I have noticed that hen we get a cold or sore throat our voices have a purr, a calmness, dunno how to explain it exactly. I was wondering about that, and since I was of and on the common cold I had a lot of chances to see what happens.

I noticed that it causes pain and discomfort to stretch those neck and throat muscles, the way we do when we have a high pitched voice for example. So, instinctively we arent flexing-stretching them, and our voice comes out more relaxed.

As soon as I noticed how I felt during that cold, and trying to emulate it later, I saw a huge improvement in my voice, and many compliments.

Also make sure your nose isnt stuffed and air flows clearly through it.

That, I think, from what I noticed from myself, should get your voice to its maximum potential with the minimum effort.l

If you still aren't satisfied with your voice, remember that its one part of the picture.
