yeah, that's what kept me coming back to it for a long time. going out and being around it and not resisting the urge. next thing you know you're hooked again.

review that post I made for you on quitting, and just keep fighting the fight. Every time you kick it's ass, it gets weaker and weaker. One day you will wake up to find you haven't had a cigarette in ages, and the thought of it disgusts you. You will be able to be around it with zero urge to do it yourself.

You just have to remember the tools you have to beat it down when it rears it's head. And remember, it's already dead. Your buried it. The urges you feel are just a ghost.
Been more than 11 days , now .

Experiencing bit of muscle pain , joint pain , flu now .

Withdrawals .

Edit : also experiencing heightened anxiety , stress .

Congrats on making it this far. I'm proud of you. That's no easy feat.

this is a crucial moment. this is when the beast begins to loosen its grip on you. All of the withdraw symptoms are it's last ditch effort to keep its hooks in you. You must relent. Use all of the tools you have at your disposal. Do not give in, or you will have to fight this battle again, right from the start.

Once you move past this stage it becomes more about maintaining you're new stronger sense of self, than it is about battling the beast. Make no mistake, it will most likely attempt to work it's way back into your life, but it will have significantly less power to do so. The key is to make continual efforts to channel the energy that has been freed up from letting it go, into other positive, healthy, and life affirming endeavors.

From here on out you will be fine to experience the wonderful benefits of a smoke free life.

Your lungs breath free and easy, your thoughts and moods will be more balanced, your will power will be more in your command and readily available when you need to apply it towards lateral movement in life.

This is a gift you have given yourself. Truly something to be proud of

As others have said, quit. You've done it before, you got this!

BUT, back when I did smoke cigs, aloe vera gel worked wonders on my body. Clothes/breath tho? Good luck

30+ days now .
Yeah brother! How's that feeling? Care to share any insights in the process? Trials, and tribulations? Major transformations?

Congratulations, and also remember that it can creep back in at anytime. So remain vigilant until the day you die.

I feel better compared to when I was smoking.

Tbh , I was in a really bad headspace cuz of not being able to daygame , a chick i number closed playing games with me over texts , feelings regarding my career etc.

And due to this , whenever I would feel stressed , I would just smoke .... Generally 3×3 per day .

But , slowly i reduced it to 3×2 .... Then in a few weeks it became 1 per day .

Anyways , i simply decided to binge internet at home to distract myself from smoking . It's worse than smoking , ngl .

But it worked .

I think that your mental state during the time of quitting will determine your mental withdrawals .

So , if you are someone struggling with anxiety, panic attacks , rumination , depression ... then it might be worse initially, during the time of quitting.

So , it's best to get busy .

In my personal experience , some of mental issues can be solved by just being busy and doing something that feels productive or just having a laugh , social circle definitely helps .

Whenever I feel like I have no one , desire to smoke/binge surfing comes up .

And tbh , when you are addicted to certain things ... Your mind fucks with you . It will make you believe that you need these things to survive.

The biggest change is I don't have any major urges to smoke and I started exercising just after a week of quitting ( crazy , cuz last time I worked out was in October ) ... And i have been working out daily now ( bodyweight exercises) and am feeling stronger than last month .

I still have one more addiction to go i.e. internet . I keep on falling back into it , so , I will have to do something about it , again .

One thing I realised is focusing on doing something else is better than focusing on quitting addiction cuz even if I have completed 1000 days but my mind will still be obsessed with my addiction .

So , better to train your brain into thinking / obsessing about something fruitful .

Winning > Not losing .

End it today. The methods are the same. Everytime this happens. It is all part of the practice. You just have to keep beating it down until it is no longer appealing. Could take years. But you can't let it get the best of you, and start making a habit of smoking again.

You got this @Spyce D. You already know what it takes
