The most recent article contains this graph:

young-men-no-sex.png

This cuts off at 2018, but we are now in 2025 and this is an annual survey. This image still gets circulated to support the "young men are having less and less sex than before" hypothesis, however it's cut off at the point that most supports this. Here is an updated version using more recent data from the same survey:

Obviously this no longer supports the "young men are having less sex" idea. I think many red pill-ers don't really care and just look for whatever supports their beliefs which was why I was surprised to see it in a GC article. Looking on the GSS website, I don't see results for 2023 and onward, though I didn't spend time searching for this.

The idea of young people having less sex makes sense with observations that young people are drinking less, partying less, waiting until later to start dating, getting driver's licesnse, etc. But doesn't seem to follow the data here.

Here's another discussion on this data

I just read the chase article (spot on), though i think @Chase is trolling a bit of red pillers, it may be in response to this article , .... Men and women having less sex, is factual, i see it on the field, i see it in the community, i see it everywhere.... I bring the point over and over and over on how guys are not get the dick in pussy experience compare to similar guys same age group other gens, not even close (most gen z guys are not getting laid)... Just look at the lay report section even in a seduction forum, kind of depressing... That article is water is wet we have been saying that in the forum for the last 3 years or more... Red pill is over, i don't get why chase bothers....

Did you read the comment section this one is right on:

If you have read Wolfinger’s piece that actually went through the GSS data, you would notice that he mentioned the following:
“We shouldn’t declare the sex recession over based on just a single year of data—especially a single year that relied on new survey methods—and a fairly small sub-sample of 229 respondents. ”

https://ifstudies.org/blog/is-the-sex-recession-over

Given that there was a small sub sample for 18-29 year olds, it is very likely that this is a blip and not a general trend. I also find it hard to believe that women reporting 4 partners went from practically 0% in 2021 to around 16% in 2022 and men reported a 460% plus increase for three reported partners.

“Also im sure the GSS is struggling every year more and more wih people refusing to take their surveys. Not just them btw its happening with alot of surveys last time I checked, which was last year. I don’t know if that is still a thing though.”

This maybe true, but I’m doubtful, given that last year’s GSS had a good response rate from all age demographics. I can visualize a small increase in number of partners this year due to relaxing covid restrictions and more opportunities to go out, but such a high increase is unbelievable.

this is good, matches what i see: https://ifstudies.org/blog/is-the-sex-recession-over

Those are some good points. I'm more skeptical of the claimed difference in male/female sexlessness than rising sexlessness in general. The drop from 2021-2022 is huge - this makes sense in the context of lifting covid restrictions, but the increase in sexlessness appears to have started before then. The big changes year-to-year are confusing though. Other than covid I can't imagine what else would cause some of the big ups and downs in the graph. I doubt it reflects real changes in rates of having sex, but the sample sizes aren't that small either. The results from the most recent year should have a 95% confidence interval of around +/- 4.5% with 229 samples from that age group (though this is combined M+F).

I was going to say, that graph is a shocking drop!

But only 229 participants... that's a very small sample size to extrapolate national trends from.

They do political polls to several thousand people and conclude with a "confidence level of ±2%" how in the lead this or that politician is and the next day at the voting booth the results completely invalidate the polls of the day before.

You really need at least a few thousand on something like this to be confident in the results.

Guilty as charged...

We definitely get a lot fewer red pill guys agitating on Skilled Seducer or the Girls Chase comment section.

But a lot of what was "red pill" has basically become these mainstream masculinity guys, who are all over YouTube and X.

Many of the biggest masculinity sites on X constantly push this nonsense like this:

Dear Son. said:
Dear son,

Don't chase women.

Stay single,
Build your wallet,
Body and Mind.

God will send someone who deserves you.

These threads get massive upvotes and a lot of guys agree with them.

Really it is more a move away from red pill toward this "monk mode incel" thing, where guys exclusively focus on money, muscles, and looks, and totally ignore women. That's really the thing I was calling out.

It doesn't even have a name... aside maybe from "monk mode."

A lot of the monk mode guys don't consider themselves incels. They're just "not bothering with women at all" because they're going to get rich or get ripped, and after that they'll be on Easy Street with chicks (they think).

Then you have the rizz guys running all that neo-direct game.

A lot of these guys still talk about how good the red pill is, how they learned a lot from the red pill, etc.

So it is a sort of set of descendants of red pill... Blue Pill 2.0.

oh yea i suspected (i originally pre editing said you are hanging around twiter), but since it was me speculating, edited my original response.... But wowow, shocking with the none sense, i stop following youtube content on seduction and red pill, too depressing, and i don't twitter, reddit etc... just gets me too worked up! but wow, oh well! In fairness to the stats there was a point last during 2023 to beginning 2024 were i saw more action in the forum (lay reports) and on the field, but then towards mid 2024 it went to shit.... It was kind of weird, but anyways... I just go by the field to be honest.... You left out of the article how are you going to bring your investment portfolio to the club and display it to a 21 year old bimbo, and how you are going to bring inside the club the Bulgari.....

^ There are multiple guys building the wallet, body and mind, and getting laid without chasing women (many in this forum) and that advice is not practical, no how tos?? empty words... I don't understand all this absolutes and not getting laid will lead most normal adult men very unhappy and depress.... Is one of the biological needs.... and the idea once you get those things a girl will come up to you and seduce you and stick around is none sense, even with the money, even a gold digger, total kj... anyways, very sad people are buying into the none sense... I am glad i am not on twitter i would have gone nuts with the fighting...

Yeah... although I think we need a bigger sample size of active seducers on her posting reports as well.

Though I will also say, there is an entire PUA community on X I discovered when I got on there... I have a whole list of dudes who post their lay reports on X. But most of these accounts got pretty quiet around the same time mid 2024 or so as well.

Maybe everyone was caught up with the US presidential election. People get really crazy about that now and it consumes so much of their focus.

You left out of the article how are you going to bring your investment portfolio to the club and display it to a 21 year old bimbo, and how you are going to bring inside the club the Bulgari.....

Yeah seriously... "Bro check out my memecoin portfolio. And who rode Nvidia all the way up? Your boy right here!" [THREE PAIRS OF PANTIES HIT THE FLOOR SIMULTANEOUSLY]

(side note: Gen Z dudes calling chicks "bro" is something I cannot accept. Is it supposed to be ironic? Am I a boomer now or something?)

Both @Tony D. and @Vision are on there and both of them fell into trolling these accounts, lol.

I have been tempted so many times but if you troll the account you just turn their audience against you, and maybe get blocked.

You have to comment on these accounts at first to get the initial followers to build an audience with.

So you just have to ignore all the idiotic things they post and wait until they post something sensible you can add value to, then you respond to that one.

But meantime you are having to keep track of these guys' feeds, seeing all this garbage, feeling like your soul is being slowly sucked away... 😑

Good news now is we are more or less at the point where I do not have to be checking other people's accounts so much. Took 4 months of hustling to get there though 😓

The ironic part is that this is all cope… it’s a textbook example of reacting to low attainability by downplaying the value of what you are trying to get.

“Not worth it”
“Too much trouble anyways”
“Life is more than that”

Pretty much the response of any person when he/she realizes work is needed to get something.
Only difference, this is at cultural level.

They can’t fool my seducer eyes.

On a somewhat related tangent, I wonder how the world would look like if young men (15-25) were taught to accept/realize they are low SMV.

A lot of this looks to me like mental dissonance of guys thinking they are too special while denying the fact they are lower value (which is OK if you’re young)

There’s also a huge discrepancy between what they understand about what is actually valuable to women in a sexual partner vs what they think is valuable (looks money muscles rizz)
So seduction (which I think is deeply ingrained social behavior - specifically mating social behavior) is undermined.
Things like
- coolness
- flirting
- teasing
- connection, arousal

The whole mating dance is pretty much pushed away by redpill/blue pill.
I don’t know why, but I struggle with this as well. It’s so easy to focus on looks money physique and push for increasing value until women chase you.

There needs to be some sort of overlap between the ‘looks money muscle’ camp & the ‘mating dance’ camp. So it makes sense to the group of people in the first group.

This is something I would appreciate too, cause it’s so easy to be focused on looks, money, muscles
