Hey!

First post here! I'm excited to become more integrated into the community :)

So my question is one about peripheral vision. I recently read the article about eye contact flirting and about "how to check girls out" and one thing that both of them really stressed was the importance of peripheral vision. My problem is that I've found my peripheral vision is total crap. I can barely tell what a girl looks like, much less whether or not she is looking at me.

I, of course, did some googling before coming here and looked up ways to develop my peripheral vision because I think it can be improved, but I'm curious to know if anyone here has had any luck with any particular exercises, or has any suggestions for day-to-day practicing. (I'm worried I'll never be confident approaching anyone if all I can see of them is a nebulous, blurry outline)

Also, on a similar note, when I'm walking towards girls on the sidewalk, at what distance would people estimate that they peek at you? I'm trying to catch someone looking, but invariably I'm the one making first eye contact which obviously doesn't help my attraction levels.

Thanks a ton!

Hey, very good question. I'd say about 5-7 feet. I've gotten so good at knowing, that every time I look, they are already looking at me. This sense of knowing when they'll already be looking at me was built up through 1000s of passbys on the street with women, lol.

You also might wanna get reference points of how they're acting from 50ish feet away. From that length, they can only really see the way youre walking, the general outline of your body, and your fashion sense. If they like what they see, they'll be observing you. You can tell the difference [although subtle] of someone observing you vs. someone whos not even interested from 50 feet away. And if they're interested, then they'll be looking to get another peak at you from closer up.
