I came across a problem a while ago with a girl who I had known and talked to on a few occasions. I was sitting at a table with my friend at college, and looked over and saw her talking to some guy. She looked my way so I was like "oh hey", and she replied "Do I know you?". I knew she remembered me, because I had just talked to her literally a week before. That response could have been due to the fact that she was talking to another guy, but she broke circle to look my direction, and i'm pretty certain that she just said it because she is a bitch. I usually try not to describe any woman that way, but there is literally no other way to put it. Anyway after that response from her, my mind immediately went defensive, and I replied with a "yeah you know me, but you can keep pretending you don't". I did say it in a rather indifferent manner, because I don't care what she thinks of me, and I almost never lose my temper anyway. To no surprise, as soon as I said that, she remembered my name. It doesn't matter what she thinks of me because I have no intentions of having anything between us, but after this happened, my answer started annoying me. It was kind of a jerk response. It was far better than a nice guy response that would be something like "uh, I think so. Remember, we talked a while ago.", or "oh sorry, I thought you were someone else", but shouldn't there be a far warmer response? I began thinking of it, and ended up deciding that if a similar situation occurs in the future, I will say "You did at one point, but since you don't remember, that means you get to have the pleasure of meeting me twice. I'm Mark." with a sexy smile. I'm still unsure though. Would that come across as cocky? If you have any ideas of a better response, post them below.
