I've never had a girlfriend before and I'm in my mid 20's.(lots of one nighters) When girls ask me about prior relationships should I tell them I've never been in a relationship or should I say something else to avoid the question?

Chase has a great article about what to say if a girl asks if you have a girlfriend (currently).
How are the girls asking the question? Are they phrasing it like, "So what have your past relationships been like" or just bringing up the subject and need an opinion from your history? I found girls who ask those types of questions do not know much about you and are intrigued.
If a girl inquires whether you ever had a girlfriend, that could be a bad sign. I realized this before I started approaching and with no experience. I came off so platonic that girls would wonder if I had ANY women in my life. On the other hand, I've had this question pop up after sleeping with girls and wanting to know more about me. I think you need to answer this truthfully assuming you've gone through the GC process of sleeping with the girl before you tell about your history. After starting this program, I have never had the second question pop up after just getting to know the girl.
Here's my solution that can blow off the girlfriend question and strike down the boyfriend material vibe: "Sooo (pregnant pause), I seem like the long-term commitment type, huh? (eye-brow raise at end). The times I've used it, the girls gets playfully shocks so you can transition to something else.

A good way to frame it if it comes up in conversation could be to tell her that you haven't had a serious relationship before, because the right girl hasn't come along just yet. That way, if it seems congruent with the rest of what you present yourself to be, you position yourself as an individual who is challenging to tie down into a relationship.
My guess is that if she likes you, this would make you all the more desirable, and leave her thinking something along the lines of, "Hmm, he hasn't ever been in a serious relationship? Perhaps I'll be the one to tame him!"

Depending on how you ran your interactions leading up to the point, you can say "I'm actually a virgin..." with a playful, sexy smile. Then you should be honest. I like Barry's suggestion. LordByron's suggestion is cool too, but I feel like you may be placed into the potential-bf category and encounter LMR. Furthermore, you can appear as if you've been looking for a serious relationship all your life, so if the girl is looking to just fuck with no strings attached, she may close off.
Some other options I present to you are:
"Why do you ask?" with a sexy smile
"No, I haven't. I'm not exactly the type of guy fit for a long-term relationship." and maybe look off to the side if you have been using the brooding sexy vibe. Also check this out.
"No, actually. I enjoy being single." with a sexy smile, else it could kill the intrigue reeeal quick.

Or, a really socially savvy way is to turn it back on her, "Why are you asking me about that? Are you already trying to be my girlfriend? Wow, this is just the X date...." (smirk) Then she'll laugh and say, "No, I just want to get to know you better." Then you reply with, "Well, hey, I don't want you to get jealous. The past is the past. What about your previous ex-girlfriends?" (smirk again)
Basically, pushing it back on her and turning the tables.

I like everyone's idea of framing the question according to their situations. However, I think this question should be answered after sleeping with the girl. I remember getting locked into long/drawn-out logical convos about my relationship situation with girls before even kissing them. It slows things down and puts you in the boyfriend zone.
