I had an eighth grade teacher say, "I am really interested to see what Chase does when he grows up" (she was a nun, so she might not like it, actually, lol) and a boss write me a reference letter in which he said "I'm confident this young man will run his own business one day" (I thought he was way off though... never really saw myself as the business-starting type back then).

That was my runner up.

Even though I brush it off as nothing, there is something that makes these compliments... different. I think it's because I know these girls made an effort to challenge themselves to get with me. And that makes it seem more real to me.
But the best compliments are those I get from the ones closest to me when they hear a recent story from work or about my students. And they tell me
"You are making a difference for these people"
Or even better, the people I'm helping tell me
"What you do, makes a difference to me"
"You're not my type, but there is something different about you"
Or
