I remember an article that @Chase wrote about how listening to Simpy music can infect your thoughts and make you more of a Simp

This is definitely true. I used to listen to music like that, but as I’ve gotten more experienced with women, I’ve started to dislike simpy music more and more. I’m sure y’all have felt the same way

But what about Simp music with female singers?

Like when women sing about the one who got away and how they’ll do anything for him etc.

Think “Share My World” By Mary J blige (Skip to 30 seconds):

I personally enjoy this music a lot, but I dont want to be feeding my mind simpy messages.

I’m assuming it wont effect us as much since its from a woman's perspective. I also like to imagine its a woman singing it to me so that might negate it as well

What do y’all think?

Almost all the great romatic songs have simp tones, from men and women alike, because they must talk about loss and broken hearts to work.
But there's a caveat....for example, Tina Turner's music can be sad and dramatic, but also uplifting.
(listen closely to "Simply the Best" and you will know what mean)
If you want the good shit (that will really lift you up), stop at the 00s for rock and the 70s/early 80s for pop.

I really like Euphoric Hardstyle for uplifting music.
Always puts me in a good mood.

Have a listen to an example-
Imaginary
And I understand it might not be for everyone lol

@Kaida,

Dude simping on chick = noise pollution 😩

Chick simping on dude = YES 😍

Why would you not want to listen to music with women singing about how much they need you, miss you, regret leaving you / not getting with you, are sad that they lost you, etc.?

That is the RIGHT kind of subliminal programming 😉

Sabrina Carpenter's two recent hits are an interesting contrast.

Espresso is about leading on a guy who is desperately simping on her:

I can't relate to desperation
My give-a-fucks are on vacation
And I got this one boy and he won't stop calling
When they act this way, I know I got 'em

(Mm) Too bad your ex don't do it for ya
(Mm) Walked in and dream-came-trued it for ya

I'm working late 'cause I'm a singer
Oh, he looks so cute wrapped 'round my finger
My twisted humor make him laugh so often
My honeybee, come and get this pollen

While Bed Chem is about meeting a mysterious stranger by chance encounter, then fantasizing about their sexual chemistry:

I was in a sheer dress the day that we met
We were both in a rush, we talked for a sec
Your friend hit me up so we could connect
And what are the odds? You send me a text
And now the next thing I know, I'm like
Manifest that you're oversized
I digress, got me scrollin' like
Out of breath, got me goin' like

Who's the cute boy with the white jacket and the thick accent? Like
Ooh (Ah)
Maybe it's all in my head

But I bеt we'd have really good bеd chem
How you pick me up, pull 'em down, turn me 'round
Oh, it just makes sense
How you talk so sweet when you're doin' bad things
That's bed (Bed) chem (Chem)
How you're lookin' at me, yeah, I know what that means
And I'm obsessed
Are you free next week?
I bet we'd have really good (Bed chem)

I'd imagine her many female fans relate to these songs - having some simpy orbiter that they're leading on, but what they really lust after is a whirlwind encounter with a sexy mysterious stranger.

In other words, cold approach isn't going anywhere ;)

you miss 100% of the shots you don't take

I don't know anything about this singer but I get some real Cluster B vibes reading both those lyrics sets back-to-back 💀

Here's another Cluster B banger - Obsessed by Olivia Rodrigo (also a Gen Z chart-topper, age 22):

If I told you how much I think about her
You'd think I was in love
And if you knew how much I looked at her pictures
You would think we're best friends

'Cause I know her star sign, I know her blood type
I've seen every movie she's been in, and, oh, God, she's beautiful
And I know you loved her, and I know I'm butthurt
But I can't help it, no, I can't help it

I'm so obsessed with your ex (Uh-huh)
I know she's been asleep on my side of your bed, and I can feel it
I'm starin' at her like I wanna get hurt
And I remember every detail you have evеr told me, so be careful, baby

She's got those lips, she's got those hips
The life of every fuckin' party
She's talented, she's good with kids
She even speaks kindly about me, ha-ha

And I know you love me, and I know it's crazy
But, every time you call my name, I think you mistake me for her
You both have moved on, you don't even talk
But I can't help it, I got issues, I can't help it, baby

Is she friends with your friends? Is she good in bed?
Do you think about her? No, I'm fine, it doesn't matter, tell me
Is she easy-going? Never controlling?
Well-traveled? Well-read? Oh, God, she makes me so upset

Pretty much all her songs are like this.

It's fascinating listening to this music and seeing how batshit mental disorder has become cool and mainstream for this generation.

Lol so true .. I came across a video of a girl singing a cover of Kiss Me by Olly Murs, loved it, looked up the original and couldn't believe Olly was a dude.

Here's a sample of the lyrics:
We got one chance and I want it badly
Do you feel like it's going the right way?
Do you know what you're doing inside me?

Like, duude why are you singing that..?

The song please please please makes me feel guilty for considering to break up with my gf... lol

I had a GF I was irresponsible with, where she knew I was banging a bunch of other girls from clubs, etc., but she kept hoping I'd "get serious"; well, I got very sloppy and started drinking a lot and occasionally drunkenly throwing it in her face... I was terrible (one of the few things I regret doing in life -- just got way out of hand; she did not deserve that)... finally we broke up and she went rebounding hard but was crying about me to her rebound guy, then trying to act defiant with me while at the same time trying to get me back "but it will have to be different this time" she was saying...

The Kaskade album Strobelite Seduction came out around that time and was always playing in clubs I went to... I just went through the whole album and was like, "Wow, this perfectly describes the mixed up headspace I put this poor girl into."

The lyrics were written mostly by men for those songs... but the most deeply "feminine insight" tracks -- "Angel on My Shoulder" and "Your Love Is Black" both had a woman co-writer... those were the two songs I got the most value out of on the album. My guess is the woman writer heavily influenced the themes there.

Start of "Angel on My Shoulder":

It's time you see
The love you give
Is killing me
And I want to live
This isn't right
Search your soul for light

"Your Love Is Black" has similar themes.

Anyway, I was young then... they say the brain doesn't fully mature until you're 26 years old, which was when that relationship ended... so I just credit that to "immature brain development"...! (girl was all right in the end. We patched things up and she eventually married an awesome guy)

But yeah, some music can be enlightening!

(later I found ABBA's "Chiquitita", which basically perfectly describes that ex... I even called her "Chiquitita" when we were dating. I was like "Whoa! How does that happen...?")
