The inevitable fact is that we are all going to catch it sooner or later. And until this wave and pandemic passes, life is gonna be shit for all of us, one way or another. By now, the virus is out there for good. And all current regulations are supposed to help slow the spreading as much as possible.
I don't usually feel like I have a duty to be a "good citizen" and "support society". But this current pandemic is an exception. I have a close relative who had a positive test today (she has some diarrhea, muscle pain and headache, but okay otherwise), and i assume the other relatives in that home will be positive a well.
Furthermore I work in healthcare myself. The situation has been shitty the last two weeks. And I'll tell you, it sucks to be only half of the personnel working while the rest has to isolate themselves because they are or may have been infected. Some departments have to make minor lockdowns, which is unfortunate for patients without Corona. These times are rough man. And some guys are like "it's just like the flu". Sure... symptom-wise it could be. But the flu is coyote while Corona is roadrunner. You can't compare how fast they infect people. Plus you don't see all the consequences it has to society
Believe what you want. Do what you always do. Just do it responsibly and according to the regulations even if it doesn't make sense
