I assume due to @rr2021's autism, he does not understand his social violations here.
So just for the record:
- When you make claims of credentials, but do nothing to back them up, then challenge the credentials of others, who do share at least some of their credentials, you lose the ability to condescend to others. You INSIDE YOUR MIND might still consider yourself the authority. To all outside observers who are not part of your mind, you appear as the individual with inferior credentials and an inferior position. At this point, you can either provide equal or superior credentials to your opponent, or you must vacate your attempt to hold the moral high ground
- Mockery is a very powerful form of tooling others, while being EXTREMELY HOSTILE. It always provokes hostile responses (think of the Will Smith / Chris Rock slap), and the more of it is used, the greater the hostility. When used against respected members of a community, it will rally the members of the community together against the mocker. This is why mockery is generally only used by socially intelligent people against out-group members. When it is directed at members of the in-group, unless it is exceptionally carefully used, it will generally lead to the group turning hostile toward the mocker, very often pushing this individual out of the group entirely
- When people engage in thoughtful discussion, yet one person enters with quips, dismissals, and laughter, the discussion is disrupted. No one is convinced by quips, dismissals, and laughter; they are used to shut down opponents and assert one's status and superiority. If one does not have status and superiority, these tactics simply produce annoyance, and often the swift removal of the disruptive party from the group. Even when one DOES have high social rank, one must still be very careful with these tactics, because creating a culture of laughter and dismissal does not a constructive, intelligent flow of discussion make. Instead you get a group full of disdainful cynics, because the people who enjoy balanced conversation all leave
In other words:
Act like a disruptive idiot and you will get banned.
Or booted from a social group, if in a social group you are.
This is true even if you are 100% convinced in your mind that you are totally right and everybody else is so wrong as to be laughable.
It doesn't matter what you are convinced of in your mind. What matters is the effect you have on others and how that causes others to react to you.
In this case, being flippant and dismissive informs no one of anything, and makes everybody want you gone.
